No, the only reason Britain was still going was because of Allied help. They would have surrendered or been invaded.

    churchill remarked on this.

'no one nation by itself could have won the war against the axis nations'

churchill visited roosevelt around the lt 30s,often a wh guest on the second floor,hr & fdr yacked without end into the night, reminiscing naval battles, drinking brandy, white wine, & whiskey ,smoking up clouds

churchill asked for all manner of arms old or otherwise supplies clothing jeeps gasoline, among the brits the visit by hopkins with stalin in his dach late one night, stalin presented a list of necesseties to carry on the fight, raw aluminum, copper, thousand of 20mm cannons millions of ammunition rounds,( the note appears in stalins cursive hand on a small note pad, roosevelt & hopkins FDR and harry hopkins,an intimate biography)

these meetings & late night jawing led to lendlease,,and roosevelts simple explanation of lending a neighbor the garden hose to put out a fire,,when the fire is put out,we get our hose back,,,,,,,= lend lease.

    in a word,,,no.

"Brexit" is ample proof that good ideas & the U.K. are complete strangers.

No chance; because the British Royal family are mostly Nazi sympathisers who would eventually join forces with Hitler.

"armouror" loves to ignore that Ford has operated in the U.K. since 1909 & G.M. has since at least 1925, when it bought Vauxhall. The parent companies took home THOSE profits too.

Doubtful. If Germany had let up on them, and allowed say, 10 years of peace for Britain to ramp up, then who knows. But they didn't. Germany was driving on them relentlessly and would have swamped them.

Oh, boy! Let's revolt. Don't worry, 1 SS Armoured Division won't drive over us with its tanks. They're just for show! My GOD, you're so naive!

Absolutely! All of the other answers fail to acknowledge their secret armaments mentioned in the 2011 book "Germany: On the Brink of Revolution".

Germany would have won World War Two if they hadn't been so stupid as to start a war with the Russians too.

thanks armouror, it has been posited that the UK, USA and France fought alongside Germany against the Soviets.

It would certainly explain why German tank production increased during the later stages of the war: https://www.jstor.org/stable/40186123?seq=1#metadata_info_tab_contents
