The corrupt public officials stole the money even before it is collected. They call it faster than lightning.

what benefit are you expecting, everyone tries to work hard and earn, being unemployed is not an excuse, you cen see on the streets poor children picking up plastics and resell just to survive. tax money is government fund that is allotted for development of the people ,and the best thing you can do is just be safe and do not be a burden to the society and benefits will be upon you.

The country has over 100 million inhabitants, poverty is not put aside in one day. The infrastructure needs a complete overhaul. The tricycles and Jeepneys should be banned because of their noise and pollution, minimum wage should be checked better, especially in Mindanao, where employers don't pay the minimum wage. We are not talking here about a small country with 5 million people. It's over 100 million people living on islands roughly the size of Italy.

Duterte is spending. It makes some jobs. Beach clean up is big right now. Green area's & septic systems near beach's. Been quit a change here in the past 12 months on that. Other green projects also. Lots of anti pollution upgrades from tourist dollars going on. So much is being spent to keep tourism up. So yes. This keeps jobs & people coming to enjoy. In hotels, cafes, tours, & other. True it does not go direct to the people.

The tourist spends their money here on food, transportation, sight seeing, lodging etc. This money goes into the local pockets not the government. What they spend helps the local economy

Actually the unemployed do get benefits
Its based on family size, but they get rice, protein (usually sardines) and small amount of cash
I have many relatives who live there and I visit every year for months

When Marcos was POTPI, that money went mostly into his private coffers. I suspect under Duterte it's the same thing.

No, those who work for the money keep the money. It's called "private property".
