    No. Even though I was named after a male relative my name still ends in 'y' and therefore will carry the lifelong connotations of being more suited to a teenager.

    I was given a very old name, and now that I am an old woman but look like an old man I am now getting the male version of my name lol. Marian/Marion

    Mine does. I had various nicknames used by the family when I was a kid but now primarily use my given name or the one nickname that's not quite so childish.
