No the team did not cheat because the linesman and referee awarded England a dodgy goal. England then went on to score again.

No the host nation always gets big refereeing decisions - just like Germany did as hosts in the 1974 World Cup final.

No.England's third goal was shall we say "contentious" and there have been many conspricy theories, the most plausble being the Russian linesman's hatred of the Germans (this was only 20 years after WW2 remember).
But they scored another, so it was irrelevant.

No, in those days the referee and linesmen's verdicts were accepted as final.
