Humans are omnivores!!!!
We eat both meat and vegetation.
It would be better to try the 5:2 diet.
Five days eating meat& vegetation products and two days fasting from meat products.
I notice people who live in the jungle are not fat. they eat what they can kill , pick up from trees and dig up.
It is a totally natural diet.
In the modern world we live, to a large extent, on an artificial diet, processed and packeted foods.
I suggest, rather than, become a vegetarian/vegan , buy fresh meat from the butcher, fresh fish from the fishmonger, vegetables and fruit from the greengrocer, and bread only from the baker.
Many years ago a surgeon told me not to eat processed or packeted foods. On reflection he had probably 'cut open' so many people and seen the results of malnutrition, not famine,
I have been on this diet for many years and maintained a healthy 12 stones (170 lbs) weight.
In the film ' Crocodile Dundee' , whilst in the 'bush' , I'll get us some lunch. She thinks where's the Hot Dog Stand round here. Next a thing on a spit. he cuts a bit off and give it to here. 'Roast goana (An Australian lizard). Tastes like s__t, but you can eat it. Try the yams and witchy grubs. they're really sweet' A totally natural diet.
So protein , Beef, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Eggs, Fish
Vegetables, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, peas onions,
Fruit , apples, oranges strawberries etc,
& Bread. (The Staff of Life).
Cheese is a processed food
Jams and preserves
