Does society view single people who never marry or have children as lesser than married couples with children?
As a single person who is heterosexual and never having had children, do you face judgement by society?
I've heard comments such as 'What's her problem?' (about a 40 year old woman who is quite attractive but never married).
Another comment I heard:
'She must be a lesbian'
From a woman who has a niece who's got a good career, loads of friend but is in her late 40s and never married. She's had a couple of relationships but chose not to marry as didn't feel it would work out.
'I want to make sure my daughter doesn't end up like her'
Are these attitudes pervasive or just a minority view?
