Can hamsters die from sudden loud noises?

Question

I have a hamster and I have her cage in the laundry room my laundry machine makes a sudden loud buzz sound when it’s finished washing. Could this in anyway disturb or possibly kill my hamster?

Any loud sounds can be awful stressful for hamsters, That can effect their short lifespan.
They usually sleep during the day and such sounds can startle their sleep.
Don't know why the need for keeping in a laundry room, not what would be a best place for them.
Perhaps your room or near where you spend most of your time, your hammie has a more social life with you. Learning your smells and sounds, they are less skittish of you.

No, I doubt the buzzer would.

However the closed instuffy, hot and probably humid atmosphere could. Hamsters are from dry climates so they don’t handle humidity well, they also don’t ha sleep temperatures above 80 degrees Fahrenheit at all. I know my laundry room doesn’t have an AC and it gets really hot in there.

Not only that but dangerous fumes can easily be created by mistakenly mixing detergents with eachother or with bleach. Even if you yourself wouldn’t do this a friend or guest might. Hamsters are especially sensitive to these.

The constant loud noises created by a washer and dryer can be a major stressor. Not just the buzzer but the clanking, and swishing, and water running and pipes draining and knocking. I can’t sit in my laundry room for longer than 5 minutes with the washer on it’s just too much noise.

Most laundry rooms don’t have windows and even though hamsters are nocturnal it’s very essential tot heir health that they have natural daylight.
