The media says enough about them, and the truth is, it's not really the religion, you could use religion to justify anything, as Christians and Jews have done, it's harder to use Buddhism and Hinduism to justify evil, but it can be done also. I particularly hate all Abrahamic religions and cults, but there are plenty of other horrible cults like Scientology, etc, etc. I think that in the past, and still now in most places in the world people don't have a choice about what they "believe" they're born into it, Islam literally means submission, and in Saudi Arabia and places like that it means jail or a sword to disobey. They still burn witches and gays in Africa among the Christians. The point is, it's barbaric, primitive nonsense, it's holding us back as a race from progress, and if there was any part of it you should keep at all, it's just being nice, sharing, charity, giving, selflessness, karma, or whatever you want to call it. Good will to all men, do unto others, that sort of thing, but you don't need a whole religion for that, you just need to understand the basic difference between right and wrong, and yes there are reasons to listen to your parents and tradition, but there are also many more reasons to question tradition, due to the nature of how many times it's been proven to be barbaric caveman nonsense.
