Will God's judgement be subjective or objective?

They say that someone who has never heard the word of Christ won't be judged for that, so isn't it subjective judgement to say they get a pass?

Does it even matter since it is not by deeds that we are judged, but by our faith? So what if they owned slaves? Their deeds aren't what God judgement is based on either way, right? They had faith, right?

Many gangsters have faith, and their deeds are, to our standards, immoral, but in their minds, they are doing what is acceptable, so are they not judged by their world, but by their faith?

Throughout history, we've learned that what we, and that includes the bulk of God fearing Christians, were doing was wrong.. the future will definitely find that much of what we, and the Christian majority, do today will be wrong.. so on what basis is God going to judge is on, and how do God fearing Christians, many of whome are hateful in the name of the Lord, know right from wrong? Does it matter because it's just based on faith?
Update: so are they not judged by their works*, but by their faith?
