Is it okay for parents to take away your door as a punishment?

Imagine a dirty room. Parents decided that the fitting punishment was to remove the door that belonged to the teen so they have no privacy. They get dressed exposed to the whole house and sleep that way. What if someone in the house was a predator? Is it still okay to take their door. They get dressed exposed to the whole house and sleep that way. What if someone in the house was a predator? Is it still okay to take their door. What if someone broke in and they have no place to hide because the door is gone? Or if the teen closes the door to calm a mental illness? What if the teen is a girl with a creepy older guys living in the house? Untrusted family that would ransack their room? This is mostly the case for parents that think taking away privacy is okay as a punishment. But is it okay? Does it do more harm than good. Because I can think of no positive to this situation.
