Doesn't the Bible tell Christians not to lie? Why do they tell so many lies about atheists?

It is only a lie if they know it is not true. Sadly, I think that in many cases, they genuinely believe the moronic things they say about atheists. I know it is hard to believe, and I may be wrong, but it does seem like it.

Lying to save lives is another thing, and can be seen as righteous faith. As has happened throughout history. Lying to save the lives of Jews during the holocaust. And there are examples of lying in the Bible to save lives, but that lying was counted as faith, by God.

Actually, I'm kind of curious as to why so many atheists tell lies about religious people, such as "they believe in talking snakes" or "they think the Bible is literally true."

And lying in general is not allowed either.

But it is okay to talk about what we BELIEVE.

Saying we "believe" something is not lying.

For example. I can say, "I believe most atheists secretly believe in God." By saying that, I am lying? NO. That is my belief. Get it?
