I am older than most people here, I can remember Roosevelt's fireside chats on the radio when I was a boy. So I remember a lot of Presidents. The point being that there have been Presidents I liked and some I did not like. There has never been a president I failed to support when they were in office, whether I liked them or not. I did not like Nixon, but he got us out of the stalemate in Vietnam and opened the doors to free trade with China. I did like Jimmy Carter. He was probably the most honest man since Truman, but his Presidency was a financial and diplomatic disaster. Ronald Reagan was great, the period of prosperity started in his administration lasted through two more presidencies. I thought Bill Clinton was the most morally bankrupt person to hold the office in my lifetime, but he benefited from the carry over of the Reagan financial policies. I did not vote for President Obama, but I did have high hopes which he managed to destroy. President Trump is not a person I especially like, but I did vote for him and I support him because I believe he was the only viable opponent of Hillary Clinton who I actually feared might win. The point again being that I did support every president while they were in office. To do otherwise would be working against the success of the country as a whole.
The eight years I served in the Air Force spanned the Presidencies of Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson.
