I've noticed something. When I complain about work, or my male friends do, we complain about what is happening with the job itself, like being overloaded with tasks or a project is behind schedule/over budget. It's never about social interactions.
It seens to me that the most important aspect of a woman's career is how they get along with the people in their office.
I've listened to my wife complain about how the girl in the next cubicle eats stuff that smells bad, how one lady walks around with her shoes off, that the admin assistant rolls her eyes and says stuff under her breath every time she is asked to do something. I also know, who is hooking up with who, who is cheating on who, who is spending more than they can afford on new clothes and who just got a new car that they can't afford.
How I feel about my job and my coworkers has nothing to do with how I do my job. I work, I get paid. The other stuff doesn't matter as long as it doesn't interfere with my job.
