I grew up in the 1960's. You don't know what good music really is. I feel so sorry for you. You have phones and social media, and we had real lives and wild adventures and real experiences that you'll never know.
And the 21st century is so great? You've got ISIS, terrorists bombings, school shootings every week, mass murders, mall shootings, movie theater shootings, church shootings, concert shootings....no place is safe. You know, when I was a kid in the summer, I'd leave home in the morning to go play with my friends. No phones, my parents didn't know where I was, and didn't even worry, so long as I was home by dinner time. The world was a different place, a safer place. I pity the paranoid police state you are living in.
Oh, and the best part? Being able to be a stupid teenager and make dumb mistakes without there being any photographic evidence or internet record to haunt me for the rest of my life and follow me into adulthood. I did some wild and crazy stuff, but there's nothing to embarrass me with as an adult. (though they DID write a song about me......)
