Why is it that many answers are reported by people in the UK for not being good answers in guidelines?
Why is it that many answers are reported by people in the UK for not being in guidelines because they just do not take the time to actually look up a definition of something before reporting it as a violation just because it is English and in the dictionary just maybe not in their UK version?
For example someone asked about languages I answered PIG Latin which is in the dictionary as
a made-up language formed from English by transferring the initial consonant or consonant cluster of each word to the end of the word and adding a vocalic syllable (usually ˈpiɡ ˌlatn: so chicken soup would be translated to ickenchay oupsay . Pig Latin is typically spoken playfully, as if to convey secrecy.
This is just 1 (ONE) example of many answers they seem to report in the UK.

Because people don't like you doing that It doesn't matter what it is a violation or not. If they are a trusedt member they think God is on their side and they are never wrong. All you can do is either appeal it and win. You win your question comes back, your points comes back and the so called trust reporter lose some trust. We also have those from the UK that every day will move all questions in this section to other categories maliciously as if it was fun for them. They do this 7 days a week without fail. It takes all type to make up this place from the intelligent to the mental ill here.

How do you know if this is just a U.K. thing? Admittedly there are a lot of ignorant pedantic idiots in the U.K. but that doesn’t mean we’ve cornered the market in over zealous reporting twatery.
I need stats and rigorous science.

All English Country's are the Same Does not Matter if its USA Or UK But if it got Reported by UK Its Probably someone from that area
the Reason is
Most Likely Due to a Violation of the Yahoo Answers Community Guidelines
Check the Rule Book to see what you may have Done wrong
If you Believe you did nothing wrong go here use the Alternative Appeal Form
Select Contact a Yahoo specialist then click Appeals and Follow the Instructions from there
If you got a Violation Email Notice dont Bother Appealing through that Link as it will
Give you a Error message saying it did not come from your Account or some kind of Other

Because EVERYONE has the RIGHT TO APPEAL., IF possible. That Verizon is making it very hard to appeal is something Verizon and Yahoo need to fix.
People WILL falsely report because there is NO RILE that HAVE to do ANY research at all. People MISUSE YA as chat forum ALL THE TIME.. Many people do NOT realize that they AGREED to a legally binding contract with Yahoo and Verizon when they signed up with YA. Neither Verizon nor Yahoo can FORCE ANYONE to read ANYTHING, and very likely more than 805 of those will NOT understand EITHER the YA community guidelines OR the terms of ANY of the Yahoo terms of service contracts..
i answered a question that was asked in French in English several hours ago. I can read and sometimes understand French, but it is NOT may native language.. i am just waiting to see if my answer to that question is reported or not..
YA exists in about a a dozen languages. There is an Arabic version too..There are over a 100 different dialects of English. I grew up speaking what I call academic English American dialect. i have no idea if that is an official dialect or not, but i know many people fell like they are learning a new foreign language when they go to college in the United States..and the don't understand the textbooks.or the vocabulary and apparently they were never taught HOW to use a dictionary OR a search engine ins school.
Everyone has the right to appeal, but if you don't get an email from Yahoo or Verizon it is not possible to appeal, no matter what language or idiom you are using.

Pig Latin exists in the UK, with the same meaning. I don't know what question you answered that to, but I'd guess it was reported because Pig Latin isn't a real language but a sort of playground code speak, and that made it an inappropriate answer.

Not everybody speaks in pig latin and will not understand it.
We do take our time to read and answer but in plain english.
Not all are reported as we do stick to the guidelines.
