With most universities, the financial aid comes through the university. Your parents fill out the FAFSA, and then schools offer you a financial aid package, which can consist of scholarships, grants, loans and work study. Grand Canyon is for-profit, so they probably offer less financial aid than other universities. In my area, private universities are really competing with the state schools for students, and offering very good financial aid, often based on GPA and test scores. Have you applied to state and private schools in your area? A degree from a for profit is really not going to help you much when you look for jobs.
