In the real world, you assess the situation carefully. You ask yourself what you could gain. If it’s a convo and the person wants to learn, and you can help teach, then you say what you know. If it’s a stranger with no influence on you, you leave it.
If it’s a customer service person who thinks they are being cheeky or cute, you leave it and notify the manager after the experience.
