Vote. Not just in the General Election but in the primaries and caucuses. People that complain about the candidates forget that you had a chance to select the candidate of your party before the General Election. But turnout in primaries is even worse than the pathetically low turnout in the General Elections.

1. Do a mental health check on the candidates. If they have any serious mental issues or a mental history, then they shouldn't be allowed to become president.

2. Require candidates to have at least some political experience.

3. Have some smart, trustworthy people count the number of lies a candidate makes. After a certain amount of time, have the people declare how often the candidate lied. If they lied greater than a certain amount of times, they shouldn't be allowed to become president.

4. Give the candidates some sort of test about the constitution. They must pass it to be allowed to become president. If there was a test like this when Trump was running, he would have failed.
