Because people prefer the kind of corruption of the Democrats (abortions, deficit spending, open borders, recreational drugs, lying, lawlessness, multi-generation welfare slaves, fake news, sanctuary cities, racial strife, civil disobedience, and "whathaveyou" sexual immorality) over the kind of alleged corruption of Roy Moore. The people of Alabama have simply traded one form of corruption for another which is worse.
Moore is accused of trying to seduce a 14 year old - 37 years ago. At the same time, while age of consent in Alabama is and was 16, in Georgia and Hawaii it was 14. Up until 1887, the age of consent in the United States was 12 for 37 states. Clearly Moore, at age 32, had no business fraternizing with 14 year-olds, by today's standards. In contrast, the self-righteous world declares that the movie, "Call Me By Your Name", in which a grown man seduces a 17 year-old boy, should get a 98% from Rotten Tomatoes and Peter Bradshaw of the Guardian declares, "It’s a compelling dramatic gesture of wisdom, understanding and what I can only call moral goodness."
Moral goodness? Yes, Moore was an apparent adulterer and womanizer. In the mean time, the hypocritical Democrats and Hollywood liberals that supported Jone's campaign praise a movie with the same kind of age discrepancy, but the participants are homosexual, calling it "moral goodness".
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." (Isaiah 5:20)
