The creation of our material universe required time to be created so that there could be space-time, and matter then had to be created for that matter to expand and develop from gases into all the elements required for our universe, and life, to exist.
As scientists cannot know what happened that infinitisemal moment just prior to gases being hurled out into the newly created space, they cannot rule an intelligent Creator out of the equation. Some try desperately hard to do that, we know, dreaming up lots of amazing ideas about other universes prior to our one, but they cannot prove any of that either. All I will say is that whoever created time is superior to time. Whoever created space is superior to space. Whoever created matter is superior to matter.
Our universe actually requires five things:time, intelligence, energy, space and matter – and all are to be found in the Bible’s opening sentence: ‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
‘In the beginning’ speaks of time
‘God’ speaks of intelligence
‘created’ speaks of energy
‘the heavens’ speaks of space, and
‘the earth’ speaks of matter.
Oxford Don Keith Ward says, “To grasp an idea of God is to grasp an idea of the only reality that could form a completely adequate explanation of the existence of the universe.” You are perfectly at liberty to disagree with Keith Ward, the ancient Bible book of Genesis, and every person who believes God created our universe. But you are not free to dismiss the creation of this universe by God as if the illogical idea, "God isn't needed for this universe to exist" proved it, for the mere claim proves nothing. Let's see the proof that the universe could NOT be created by an intelligent Creator. Where would we find that proof?
