Can hurricanes suck sharks out of theocean and throw them at as?

Ive seen this in a movie called Sharknado. I heard that this movie is based on a true story. Is that true?

Fish can be pulled out of the water by hurricanes and thrown to far away places, but I don't think that anything the size of a shark has ever been picked up like that.

There are MANY recorded instances of it raining fish.

This is explained by water spouts, that dissipate and then dump all the fish it's holding,

But I have never heard of it raining SHARKS.

A water spout would pick up smaller, lighter fish near the surface.........and sharks are usually deep water critters.

There are waterspouts that occur offshore and can propel small fish and other small wildlife into the air, where they can rain down elsewhere including inland. This seems to be rare, and I have not seen any reports of this happening to large animals like some sharks. Sharks tend to move to deeper waters during severe weather, and it is unlikely that they would be propelled into the air by high winds or waterspouts. Of course, tsunamis, floods, and other wave action could take them inland some ways, perhaps stranding them far from shore. And some sharks like Bull Sharks can and do swim into rivers and other estuaries sometimes hundreds of miles upstream.

No. This is not a true story, but a pure fiction movie. Whoever said that was real watched Film Theory, because other things can rarely be thrown by tornadoes.
