How to see whether computers are connected to the network via cable or wireless?
I'm an administrator for the network in a big company. The employees have laptops which can be connected to a docking station (brand: HP). These docking stations are connected via ethernet cables. We know that many of these cables are connected to network points on the walls, that aren't even patched.
Is there anyway via executing powershell commands or whatever, to find out which PC's are connected via cable or wireless (LAN or WIFI)?
There are about 300 of these machines in the building, so checking physically really isn't an option.
Thank you for reading and i hope someone has a solution! :)
