At Matt 11:25 Jesus publicly praises his Father from withholding truths from the wise.?

If Jesus was part of 3-in-1 godhead where they are all the same isn't it egotistical of him to praise himself? 1 Corinthians 15:24-28 we see that Jesus gives all his authority back to his heavenly Father, so wouldn't it be logical that his heavenly Father is the one that gave all this authority to Jesus in the 1st place? And if they are equal wouldn't Jesus already have authority of everything in heaven and earth?
