Sorry to have to say but census results say while the population currently identifies as a religious person, less and less are practising.
Let me give you an example.
When I was child in the early 70s my Nana when to church at the St Joachim Church Lidcombe NSW each and every Sunday.
At that time the first service was 6am, then every hour to midday,
After this there was a service at 2pm them 3pm and 6pm.
we attended the 7am service and it was full.
Today its 8.00am, 10.00am, 5.00pm and in those there are plenty of seats.
In fact they are so desperate for a need, they allow a Lithuanian Mass to be held there every first Sunday of the month at 11.30am
You can play word games all you like, religion is a dying interest and that is nothing to do with atheist, in stead it is very much thanks to the people in control of the various faiths not being in touch with the needs of the community.
