It depends what you mean by 'minority'- I guess by identifying yourself as white, rather than as male, straight, neuro-typical, working class etc you are particularly referring to wanting to meet people who have a different cultural/racial heritage to your own?
It's very unusual to live in an area where every single person shares the same cultural heritage. I was brought up in rural Wales, where most people were white Welsh born, however in my school there were a few kids with parents or grandparents from England, different parts of Europe such as Poland and the Netherlands- no-one from further afield. So take a close look near to you, you might be missing a connection that you could learn from.
Do you mean that you want to meet people from the middle east, Africa, Indian sub-continent, Asia? If so, think about your motivations, then make your plan. People of colour are not waiting out there to be your friend just because you want to adopt them into your life, true friendships don't work that way.
