The first three bars of an insipid pop tune he could not name, but had heard dozens of times on radio and television had droned in his ears for over twenty minutes. To make matters worse, the woman was obese and D'Alucci's left elbow and knee ached from being pressed firmly against the wall of the bus by her hot and humid mass. She also smelled; a gut-curdling melange of roses and mint, underscored with hints of sulfurous diarrhea.

D'Alucci wrenched his arm free from beneath the woman's bulk and scrabbled above his head for the bell cord. "Excuse me," he muttered. "This is my stop."

The woman ignored him.

D'Alucci repeated himself, his voice edgy and annoyed.

The woman slowly turned her head towards him. A smile crept across her doughy face, lascivious and sly. Her teeth showed yellow behind maroon-red lips that reminded D'Alucci of raw beef liver. With alarm, he realized that her pudgy right hand had slipped across her lap and was squeezing his knee, now moving higher, furtively and insitently toward his crotch.
Update: Typo in last sentence: Should read "insistently" not "insitently".
