Japan got their way of life and morals from Christianity, they live as Christians even if they don't want to accept it.?
Then when Japan was exposed to western missionaries they adopted the morals from Christianity and the Christian way of life. But Japan felt uneasy about worshiping a Caucasian god, so they instead just took all of the morals from Christianity and left the god part.
The Japanese live as Christians whether they want to admit it or not.
1. They have among the lowest crime in the world, this is a Christian moral and commandment in fact.
2. They tend to have a lot of love in their heart when you get to know them, this is another Christian trait.
3. Many take care of their body and don't get fat, this is another Christian moral where Jesus says you must respect your body.
4. Many there are educated and intelligent, just like Christians and Christians preferred way of living.
As a Christian I enjoyed Japan as I saw how much my religion has shaped their culture for the better.
Even if the USA has a high crime rate, only a small minority of people in the USA actually commit crime. These people are very rarely Christians, but nice try at misrepresenting. 0.7% of the US population are in prison, why do you assume they have to be Christians? 30% of the US are not Christian and this is where you get the criminals from this 30% of immoral people.
If by not doing to other what you wouldn't want done to yourself and actually having morals and understanding and fairness is considered "conformist" then you are right. But I can tell you are using "conformist" as to try to make it sound negative.
Why is it negative if nearly all people are acting in a sensible and moral way? That's actually desirable for a society.
Japan was a country with infighting and violent and hateful until Europeans showed them the way of Christian morals. The Christian morals reached Europe before Japan as Europe is very close to Jerusalem, the Europeans in turn spread Christianity throughout the world to help people. Now we have a beautiful world.
You clearly didn't read the part where I said they got their morals from Christianity, identifying as Christian is an entirely different subject. Just as the English language adopted words from the French language, but the English language doesn't suddenly call itself French just because of adopting some of the words.
No offense but every country did this during the war, most men who sign up to the military are not real Christians. They are murderers. It wasn't Japan as a whole that was killing people, it was their soldiers. Just as the Soldiers of all other countries in WW2 killed people and raped women, so don't pretend as if Japanese soldiers are somehow special and that only they were doing this, sigh.
You are aware that Caucasian men had reached Japan by the year 1543? Sorry if you can't accept this, this was before Sakoku. Don't you find it interesting that Japan had 250 years of relative peace only a few decades after being exposed to missionaries from the west? These Christian missionaries spread the morals into the Japanese people at this point, before this period it was the Sengoku period which was barbaric. Sorry
Fun fact, while the first people who would export guns to China were in fact the western (Spanish people). The first guns were actually made in China as was gunpowder. The oldest relics of a firearm are in Chinese museums and have been carbon dated and confirmed by western people to be the oldest ever firearms. Westerners got firearms from Chinese expeditions and then started making their own, it's ironic that the Japanese first got a hold of them from the west.
