Generally, a larger corporation will have a fleet of several planes and a hanger at the airport to put them in. And flight crews and mechanics to keep them flying. If the corporation is not big enough to support all of that, they lease out the space and hire a company to furnish personnel. Normally, the company owns the building and leases the airport location. The hanger has a office area and a lounge area where you go. When the plane is ready, they will come and get you and help you get on the plane. If you are a lower executive, you will probably share the plane with others. The plane may even be carrying emergency parts for some project somewhere. Or human organs for transplants. Lots of time, you get the plane for yourself and the pilots wait on you. Pilots have special skills to waste hours sitting in a lounge reading newspapers. Part of their job is to be personable plus extraordianry flying skills. When you land at an airport, the airport charges taxi fees and bills the company. The pilots talk to the control tower and tell them where to go so that you can get transportation out of the airport. Nothing like landing in a private jet, disembark and get on a waiting helicopter. Normally you call the previous day and give them the times and schedule. They will generally accommodate you. You always have the accounting project numbers. You tell them what the number is and they charge to it. The hangers have personnel 24/7 including a couple of guards with guns.
