Is it me or is my skateboard bad?

So just to begin with, im new, just started to skate. So when I bought my first skateboard the price was £11.99/$15.75

When I first rode on it I noticed that my board began to abruptly stop and found myself hurtling forwards and when I went slowly I almost fall backwards. Also the board is meant to take 20-50kg Im 60kg.

Could it be the reason why or am I doing something wrong?

    1) skateboards will come to a halt when they hit a pebble.

    2) the wheels, especially on cheaper boards, will be too tight.. they need to be loosened up. Get a socket wrench and loosen the bolt on the wheel, spin the wheel, then tighten the bolt until the wheel does not spin freely, then loosen the wheel back up again just to when it starts spinning freely again. Do this for each wheel.

    It's both.

You haven't learned to balance on a skateboard and the board you have is junk.
