Can someone explain the England/Wales "zombie knife" ban?

Does the legislature actually define what a "zombie knife" is or is it merely a ban on products branded as such? It seems pretty ridiculous to me, and that's coming from a Brit who largely agrees with the restrictive weapon laws we generally have. A knife is a knife, as someone who carves wood and has good knowledge of knives I can tell you for a fact that most "zombie knives" are cheap, poor quality knives, you can do just as much damage with virtually any knife that's legal here.
