Meat eaters actually need vegetables and fruits. We were supposed to eat an omnivorous diet. Now, we really don't need to eat meat anymore. Even though meat is very good (and yes this is coming from a vegetarian) we really don't need it. I mean, it's packed with protein and such, but still, most people only eat it for the taste nowadays. The answer really depends on you. I mean, we aren't supposed to eat many of things, but we still do, and our bodies are able to take it all in perfectly fine. Some people can't eat meat, are they still supposed to eat it? An omnivore diet is actually really healthy if the meat you get is actually good for you, and not the cheap meat that isn't lean, has antibiotics, etc. Our ancestors didn't just eat meat, they also needed vegetables and fruit. I prefer eating a vegetarian diet, it just makes me feel more healthy and my body feels better and clean since it doesn't have to work 24/7 to digest meat.
EDIT: I'm not really sure why some of you omnivores on here get so butt hurt when a vegetarian or vegan is actually agreeing with you. I agree, we needed meat, and we have always ate an omnivorous diet. Now, we don't need to eat meat due to humans advancing. This isn't thousands of years ago, eat whatever you want and leave anyone who doesn't eat meat alone. You guys are healthy, and us vegetarians are healthy, does it matter?
