Here's the evidence for you.

1. from the Civil war, until 1964 the South was Democrat, and the Democrats were the right wing party.
The republicans were the party that the Democrats are today.

2. The parties are aligned the opposite of what they are today from 1861 to 1964.

3. Because the people involved in the political process on both sides have not fundamentally changed the basis of their creed..

When it was a Democrat who signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Democratic Machinery of the time switched ideologies...
The South took the Republican Party to oppose the 1964 civil rights act...

The K)K)K endorsed Barry Goldwater, who defined the republican party on the attitude of the South, the same south where of course the K)K)K is most alive in....
The same south that fought for slavery...

Not one republican since the 1964 civil rights bill has ever stood for the 1964 civil right bill, or anything that the Government does for the people..

So...

Is the Republican Party affiliated with the K)K)K ?
Are Republican Candidates members of the K)K)K ?

Yes they are.
Don't doubt it for one second.

The name of a party doesn't mean jack squat.
What matters, is the people...
And the standings on today's issues, are the exact same as they were at any time, on any issue before.

The people and the thinking of the South has not fundamentally changed.

So there is the evidence for you.
