Is something wrong? Should I go to the doctor? How did this happen.?

For a few years now ( two ) I've had post nasal drip, or at least that's what I think it is, all the symptoms match, and I haven't had a name for it until recently and I haven't cared much until I read that it shouldn't last even as long as a month. What happens is this green mucus (I don't remember the word for it) goes down my throat from my nose, and I don't even feel it in my nose most of the time, there is a lot usually when I wake up. This makes it kind of hard for me to breathe and it makes an unquenchable thirst. For about a month now blood has been coming out of my throat from it now, and when I spit the green mucus I see blood.

You should see an ENT doc. First, see your regular doctor.

Then, see an allergist. If it's been happening for a few years, it's related to allergies.
