Word and Excel. Suddenly I do not have access to Word or Excel. How to retrieve these?

(1) As long as you have Excel and Word on your computer, you can still open, view, and print your Excel/Word files. So you have that level of access to them.
(2) If you mean you can no longer edit them, then that's because your free trial of Office has expired.
If (2) above is what you mean by "no longer have access to them" then you have two options:
(a) buy Microsoft Office
(b) use a free generic version of Office
The freebie programs are all pretty much the same. Mostly the difference in the two is how often they update their programs. Libre Office is the best the pact and that is here: http://www.libreoffice.org/
Libre Office has an entire suite of programs that will edit OR create any Excel, Word, Powerpoint or Access file.

if lucky, it can be seen by notepad or wordpad.
Anyway the most simple method is to use wordexcel to pdf converter. Then u can open with adobe pdf reader.
