Actually scripture states that Satan wanted mankind to believe HIS word over Gods word.
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
The sad part about it is that Adam and Eve did this! And many still do today!
Never believe the lies of Satan!
Jhn 8:44 He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:44 ESV
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
2 Corinthians 4:4 ESV
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Revelation 20:10 ESV
And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

yes there is
2 Corinthians 4:4 [Full Chapter]
The ruler of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—the message about the divine greatness of Christ. Christ is the one who is exactly like God.

You could logically interpret the bible to support any ridiculous conclusion one can think of. Good thing, logical, rational and honest beliefs are only supported by evidence. Where as religious beliefs are supported on logical fallacies, delusions of grandeur in the 'afterwards' and unsupported claims based on wishful thinking only.

2 Cor. 4:4 "among whom the god of this system of things* has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that the illumination* of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through."
