Confusing Best Before Date?

The date on the Tostitos Salsa says "14 Feb 13", I can't tell if it's expired or not.

14th of February 2013. It's probably still fine. It's a "best by" date, not an expiration date.

Regardless if it's February 14, 2013 or February 13, 2014, they should still be good. They may not taste AS good if the date was this year, but they shouldn't taste stale either. We've bought bags of tortilla chips and forgot about them or they got hidden in our closet/pantry and found even a year after the date and they still tasted good.

If you are confused, there should be a consumer telephone number on the back of the bag. Call that and they should know.

I think they expired this year on Feb 14

well, i would say if it's unopened, it's canned so it should keep for a very long time (beyond the best before) a lot of things have a best before date to keep you buying new and to cover the buts of manufacturers from law suits. i think it's fine.
