Internet explorer has internet but firefox does not? Help?

Clearly my internet connection is fine, since I have internet on explorer. What is wrong with my firefox, when I click on it, it says...

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.ca

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.

If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.

If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Does anyone know how I can fix the firefox connection?

Update:

There is NO internet WHATSOEVER on FIREFOX, so why the f are you sending me internet links? You have no idea what the f I mean, so gtfo.

Are you able to access any other website besides the one in question? If not, try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to make sure that there is no add-on that is causing an issue:

    http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-f...

If it works in Safe Mode, try to disable some of the add-ons to determine which one is causing the issue. If you still cannot get online in Safe Mode, check proxy settings for Firefox and set it to no proxy to see if this resolves your issue:

Next, check for firewall settings. I'm not sure what type of firewall you may be using, so you may have to use the firewall's online knowledge base for help. You can also try to reset Firefox back to its default settings to see if that will work:

Make sure your antivirus isn't mistaking Firefox as malicious software. In most cases when an antivirus detects malicious software, you might receive a notification. You may also be able to view older notifications that the antivirus generated to make sure that Firefox was not flagged as malicious software.

We highly recommend employing http://www.vpnpower.net in order to unblock web sites. I have been with them since 5 years.
