The static ip address was only an issue for BT business customers or residential customers with static IP addresses (not many of them i can assure you). The static ip issue was showing a connection but unable to get any web sites or email as the end user was unable to connect to the RAS. This would have affected all sites and not just the one. It may be that Argos site is getting absolutely hammered and their servers just can't cope so they are freezing up.
