if you donated your heart while your alive then you would obviously die. so no that is not going to happen. kidney, liver and things like that are a different story.

  • Donating body organs after we die is completely acceptable.Even when we are alive we can certainly donate 1 of our Kidney(the other remains with us) .Kidney transplantation takes place in India legally. There is something called as partial liver transplantation but am not sure if it can be donated when a person is alive.

You can't donate your heart whilst you are still alive, because it would kill you.

You can be a living donor, and donate the following:

One of your kidneys --- as long as the one they are leaving you with is healthy.

Part of your liver. This, however, is uncommon, and most livers come from deceased donors.

Part of your lung (a lobe). Lobes from two different donors may be acquired in order to give the recipient a whole lung. People who donate part of their lung should be able to live as normal and healthy a life as they did before the transplant.

The only body parts that you can donate and remove from your body while being alive is 1 of your kidneys and part of your liver. All other parts can be promised for when you die but cant be removed. They arent going to kill you and take your parts to put in someone else.

Donating a kidney is quite common. You could donate part of a liver. Other things, except blood, you have to keep.

if its a liver or something then yeah thats completely normal,,but if its a heart then thats basically suicide, which is illegal. Also, if a doctor removed someones heart for donation theyd be sued for euthenasia. Even if youre dying you cant legally donate a vital organ, youd can only donate them after youve died.

heart no, because you would die. But you can donate parts of your liver, one of your Kidneys etc. Basically you can donate something as long as it doesn't kill you or have extensive negative affects on the donor.

If you donate your heart, you're committing suicide. That's illegal. Liver transplant is different. Liver grows back if you slice it, so it won't kill you. That's legal.
