You would be cited for a concealed weapon and it would be confiscated. It has no business being readily available to you, and if you brought it out, no one could tell it wasn't loaded. Lock it in the trunk, not in the passenger compartment. Scenario: you get pulled over for a burned out taillight, two officers approach the vehicle and the one on the driver's side asks for your license, registration and proof of insurance. The officer on the passenger side see the gun in the glove box. At best, you will be looking at the business end of two service weapons, yanked out of the car and taken to the ground and handcuffed. You will scream and holler police brutality, but in reality, the officers are doing their job and protecting themselves. the trunk is a lot beet place to keep your gun if you have to transport it, If you don't, leave it at home.
