I think maybe that's because Real Player fails to support YouTube perfectly. I meet the same problem. Sometimes the download button is available in some videos while not in other videos. To help you solve it, you can refer to the following three methods to help you download YouTube videos:

    1. Moyea Flv Downloader ( http://www.flash-video-mx.com/youtube-downloader/ ), a powerful app with which you can download and convert YouTube videos quickly with just a few clicks. You can manage the whole process with copy-paste operation.

    2. Keepvid ( http://www.keepvid.com ), a free website where you can download and convert YouTube videos. However, take care of those plug ins on the page.

    3. Web browser ( http://www.flash-video-mx.com/blog/download-youtub... ), as long as you are a Windows user, you may try to download with your web browsers like IE or Chrome.

I don't use real player, seems there are many users have problem when using it to download video. I suggest you change a downloader.

Youtube downloader, Avvant browser and the video download helper plugin of firefox are very good in my

opinion. I mainly use the three.

Try this free Wondershare app. It can not only support many video formats, like mp4, flv, mov and other, but also, you can save videos on your Android phone to watch later or watch offline for free. Videos supported are from YouTube, Hulu and Vevo.

I have to say, this app is super.

    Try here: http://v.wondershare.com/wondershare-player.html

Realplayer is very old software and has not been popular for quite some time. Try using an online service such as www.keepvid.com instead.
