What do you think of Thich Naht Hanh's comparison of Christianity and Buddhism?

He has written a few books about the comparative teachings of Jesus and Buddha and even said that Christianity and Buddhism are like two petals of one flower

There are some similarities, since The Absolute Truth is one and is described in the Vedas as krishna. Buddha is avatar of Krishna and Jesus His son.

It's not a comparison of Christianity and Buddhism.... as there are literally thousands of different sects and to write comparisons on all of them would take more than just a couple of books by Thich. I think he compares the words attributed to each and shows that both were more about bringing peace. Of course, he ignores the verses where Jesus talks about hating your own family and that he has come to bring a sword and that he will divide families, father against son, etc... because there just isn't any comparison on that level towhat Buddha teaches.

i think that each has a purpose to instruct and supply kindness to others. as quickly as I met my husband he replace right into a Buddhist, I a Catholic. this is important for Christians to be like Christ and love and welcome anybody no count their ideals or previous. With honestly no rigidity on my area he grew to become a Catholic. The leap isn't too complicated while the bridge is LOVE.

Personally I don't think it's possible for anyone to be the same as Jesus, especially without the same God being revered.
