what advantages and disadvantages for single point calibration?

We analysed 4 various cannabis products with GC-MS and LC-MS using a semi-quantitative single point calibration point.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using only a single point as calibration?

Thanks Diana

It's easy and reasonably accurate if your instrument's response is close to the calibration point.

Results are not as accurate as multipoint calibration and your results get more unreliable if your instrument response is distant from that generated by the calibration sample.
