Should states be required to supply a person with a photo-id when they register to vote?

.

If a state cannot show that it provided a voter with a photo id when he/she registered, then that person can vote without an ID. .

.

The state would need to maintain a list of registered votes that have been provided with a photo id.

.

Persons who registered before the photo-id laws, can vote without one.

.

.

Update:

.

Hmm: Yes they could. And if you don't have a registeration card with a photo, they can supply you one when you vote.

Update 2:

cel : Maybe we should let people from Iran and Syria vote in our elections. Maybe they would require that we not invade them. Very good idea.

Update 3:

.

zuma : I presume nothing.

If they make it a law to require an ID to vote. Then they should also make it a law to provide a free ID for every citizen.

we require id in our state. We have no issues. Is the real issue here that you guys want illegals to vote? Lets ask the basic question that every one is avoiding! The truth is no id, anyone can vote! DO you really want someone from Iran or Syria voting in our elections? Come on people.

lol- just see if they will let YOU vote in their elections!

No. The federal government should issue a free National ID card to everyone in the country and force them to carry it at all times, and stop making state drivers license clerks do their job. Social Security Administration has the plans. Either implement them, or back off.

The basic idea of photo ID is to stop tens of thousands of Democrats from voting.

So, the real answer to any questions about ID and voting is: How can voter fraud be cut to even lower than .0002% without disenfranchising a particular block of voters.

The answer cannot just be made up, it has to be tested on a real population in a real election, or, at least based on several sound studies of various populations and their ability to vote given new obstacles created by the Republican party.

certain. balloting fraud, inspite of the reality that skipped over by the independent press, has reached the point of a virus. practice dinner County, Illinois keeps to have more effective than one hundred% of the eligible voters solid a poll. Snowbirds wintering in Florida have self belief it truly is ideal to vote both in Florida and of their abode state. the finished state of recent Mexico is one great block of balloting irregularities. States with identity guidelines also provide loose photo IDs for voters who lack such, so it truly is complicated to assert that the mission is to dodge the undesirable from balloting. the mission is particularly keeping the status quo so one political social gathering can benefit by having voters exhibiting up diverse circumstances to solid a poll.

If you can't pay, it should be free. If you can pay, you should. All states have waivers in place to obtain a free state ID already, however, through the Department of Human Services.
