Good beef steak recipe (pan or in oven?)?

does anyone know a good recipe to make a beef steak like how to marinate it, etc? please and ty!

I usually like to tenderize my steak first.
In a ziploc bag combine olive oil, salt/pepper, and either garlic powder or crushed garlic. Mix it well and put the meat into the bag. Remove the air from the bag and seal tightly. Massage the meat within the bag so the marinade covers all of it. I prefer using a bag to a dish because you can ensure the meat is in direct contact with the ingredients. Leave it on the counter for a few hours and when you walk by it, flip the bag over.

Meat is best cooked at room temperature and will absorb the marinade better that way then in the fridge.

A little salt, a little pepper. Go to a grocery store, buy some steak seasoning, and just sprinkle it over the steak, and I actually add a bit of orange juice so they spices can soak into the steak, and it doesnt affect the flavor. I do that every time!! And while grilling, Ill take a brush and brush over the orange juice mixed with the spices.

If you are talking about a roast, that's different from a steak. I don't marinate my steaks. They don't need anything other than salt, pepper and some garlic. Cooked med rare.
A roast would need hours of cooking, covered with some veggies, maybe potatoes etc.
