Humans are horrible animals. ANY dog can be dangerous if not properly handled and socialized. Ive said it here before, but as tech I have been bitten (seriously) by 4 dogs in 20 years. A cocker, yorkie, Rottweiler and chocolate lab...never by a Bully breed. Even those I have handled in shelter medicine that have come from fighting rings tend to be great with people although dog aggressive.
The abuse these dogs have suffered at the hands of humans ( fighting, poor breeding practices, etc) is disgusting and needs to be stopped. People need to be educated about the breed instead of stereotyping them as has been done with GSDs, Dobermans and Rottweilers.
I think everyone should go to a shelter and make friends with a Bully....only then will you KNOW just how wrong peoples thoughts on these dogs are.
ADD: People REALLY need to stop blaming breeding for everything. The BEST bred dog with the greatest genetic lines can be an absolute nighmare. So can the cute little mutt. I have seen Goldens, Dobermans, GSDs, Labs, Cocker Spaniels, and even a Great Dane or two, most VERY well bred, that would have taken your face off as quick as look at you. Some dogs, just like some people are just "wired wrong" regardless of handling OR breeding, they are not to be trusted. I think that is the whole point with breed stereotyping. Just because its a Bully breed does not make it any better OR worse than any other dog out there. They ALL have a full set of teeth and ANY one of them has the potential to be dangerous.
