Edit: Yeah, misinformation and falsehoods is endemic on most anti-vaccine sites.
They confuse the type of mercury found in some vaccines with the far more toxic methyl mercury. What you find in vaccines is bound as an organic ethyl; it's rapidly excreted and does not bio-accumulate.
Edit: Ah, cherry picked evidence. He ignores the numerous well designed larger studies looking specifically at thimerosal in vaccines (in actual children) showing no problems or association with autism.
Natural News is aimed at the scientifically illiterate; misinformation is hard to spot without knowing the facts, Adam's hopes you are too stupid to check out his lies.
Edit: @ Lisa, I did read that...and as I already stated the evidence is cherry picked. You can't ignore the better, larger studies.
Natural News is full of lies. There is no rational reason why anything that comes out of there should be credible. We've pointed out numerous lies and distortion of facts told by Adams, yet for some reason you trust such people who transparently lie. I have to assume you are ignorant of even the most basic science.
Could you provide some evidence to support your claims that thimerosal in the influenza vaccine is unsafe?
@ Mrs A, wow...just...wow.
I'n actually speechless. "Mercury is between arsenic and lead in toxicity, neither of which are ideal supplements for anyone's diet."
You do realize that arsenic is present in apple and fruit juices right? Almost anything can be toxic in excess. Dose matters.
Oh, edit: Lisa, You were asked to substantiate your claims regarding thimerosal, instead you have resorted to fallacies.
That I have a history of atopy does not mean the health advise I give is incorrect. Neither does it mean it is caused by vaccines if that's what you are insinuating. Additionally, I am not suggesting that you take my word for anything; everything I say is easily verifiable.
"It's probably a good general rule of thumb to not take health advice from people with chronic illness(es), unless they can tell you how they got that way, and what they are doing to cure themselves (not just deal with or cover up symptoms"
Allergies: Probably explained best by the hygiene hypotheses. I don't think I have asthma anymore, I haven't wheezed for years. I've probably "grown out" of it. However, it is kept at bay with regular preventative medication. That there is no cure does not mean we shouldn't manage symptoms.
Gallstones; yeah that was a weird one. I don't have any risk factors for them and I am too young. However, there's no plausible mechanism for any vaccine to cause it. That I have no answer does not invalidate what I say.
Now, substantiate your claims re thimerosal, or STFU.
EDIT: And to clarify there is no truth in Truthseekers claims. 1. Weise has no obsession with me. 2. I am over the age of 18.
