How do I find out what server and port I need?

Í'm downloading software and it keeps getting stuck on a window that is asking for my server and port. I have no idea what this means - where to find out - can anyone help - is it stored on the computer somewhere???

    If you're using FTP the port is usually 21

    http port is generally 80

    https port is usually 443

    SSH/SCP is usually 22

    etc.

    The server is the system you are transferring the files from

    apart from the standard defined IANA ports ANY port can be used for file transfers

    more of a question what are you trying to download?

    also have you checked the site for tech support on the product?
