why dont other animals besides humans get down syndrome?
i never heard of a dog with down syndrome why is that

It's a condition that effects humans, not dogs. You may as well ask why humans never suffer with parvo, distemper or dutch elm disease.

Down's syndrome is a genetic disease linked to a human chromosome. Other animals don't have human chromosomes, therefore cannot get the condition.

Maybe because they don't survive. Haven't you ever heard of a dog that has 7 puppies but only 5 survived? That sort of thing?
