How do I un-install Norton Antivirus?

I recently got my computer wiped, as a result of Norton's inability to detect viruses.

I get it back from the IT people, and promptly install the free version of AVG. However, Norton comes pre-installed on my computer. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, as I just simply refused to activate it. Unfortunately, I accidentally clicked on "activate", and it did. Since it's a bad idea to have more than one anti-virus software at a time, how do I completely scrub Norton from my HD?

    Go in your control panel to add/remove programs. Look for the program you want to uninstall & left click on it. It WILL uninstall ANY PROGRAM you want to have removed. For a GREAT anti virus protector, I highly recommend McAfee. It scans & does ALL the updating when it should be done as often as it should be done. Excellent program. Good luck to you...:)

    Try CCleaner, go to Tools and Uninstall.
